He is a co-founder of the Black Urban Farmer’s Association (BUFA), a group of farmers committed to providing healthy, nutritious food to under- served communities and educating them on the relationship between food & disease. Almus lends his skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, layout and design to the BUFA farm. He is dynamic, energetic and willing to go the extra mile to ensure a project exceeds expectations. He is the "tool guy" and loves working with machines, building everything from trellises to raised beds, harvest & prep tables and anything that needs a tool. She enjoys research on ways to introduce healthy foods to the community. James Elliott is a BUFA co-founder and part of the team of active farmers that keep our farm going. James is kind of a reluctant farmer and started with a 20x20 plot at the Boggs Tract Community Farm. He and his wife, grew veggies and little by little James grew to love growing & eating his own fresh vegetables. He loves sports, travelling and cooking especially with fresh ingredients. James works with the design team to build raised beds out of wood & to create beds with compost for growing our crops. Glenn McMillon is a BUFA co-founder and works with the design team to build raised beds, install fencing and anything that requires his assistance. Glenn has boundless energy and is tireless when we have a project to complete. He is a father and grand father who is very involved with his family. He became a member of the Boggs Tract Community Farm in 2015 because his wife, Louise loves gardening. Glenn loves sports and he & Louise love travelling and entertaining friends. James Griffin joins the BUFA team and wears many hats. He juggles several businesses, is a photographer and an avid gardener both at home and at Boggs Tract Community Farm.
