The Big Purple Eggplant

   Similar to the last blog with tomatoes, (name-a-fruit-vegetable-that-is-red-sometimes-green-and-is-juicy-and-plump.html) eggplants are known as vegetables but are considered fruit because they have seeds. This big purple fruit is not only eye catching but it is tasty also. They can be eaten raw, grilled, sauteed, roasted, and so much more.

  Eggplants are one out of many produce items that BUFA sells that has many benefits. This fruit has a great amount of fiber, nutrients, and is few in calories. (Healthline) Including eggplants in your diet may keep your blood sugar in check, help with heart disease, fight with cancer cells, and help lose weight. Eggplants are a key fruit/vegetable that can help you inside and out. So don't deny it but go ahead and try it.

     Tomatoes it is! Botanically speaking, any "vegetable" that has seeds is considered a fruit. Here at BUFA, tomatoes is one out of many of our produce items that we sell. Eating tomatoes have many advantages. According to Healthline, "Consumption of tomatoes and tomato - based products has been linked to improved skin health and a lower risk of heart disease and cancer." Tomatoes also has a good source of vitamins that help control diabetes.

   Like red, green tomatoes assist with many health gains. Green tomatoes are a healthy source of fiber, they supply vitamins A, C, and potassium, and their great for your digestive system. Tomatoes can be cooked and eaten numerous ways. From salsa, pizza, and salads, to raw, boiled, dried, and paste. Tomatoes can't go to waste!

 You guessed it right, this low calorie and carb vegetable is known as OKRA! Our okra vegetables has many benefits. Not only is BUFA's okra free of pesticides but it also has many antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and fiber. According to Healthline okra contains vitamins A, C, and K1. Eating okra will enhance your heart health and you will have a lower risk of blood clots. Okra can also be used in many recipes and prepared all kinds of ways. From sauteing, boiled, fried, and to even putting them in the famous gumbo. Okra is the way to go!
